Lumbar Implants

/Lumbar Implants

We supply an innovative range of lumbar implants and instruments to NHS and Private Hospitals across the UK for use in lumbar spine surgery. Lumbar surgery is specifically focused on the lower back between on or more of the L1-S1 levels and most typically is formed of two types of surgery, lumbar decompression and lumbar fusion. Our range of lumbar products offer a variety of options and include the G Device, TOPS System, M6-L, CLIA Spinal Cage, Titamesh Cage and EndoLIF & Percusys Instrument Set. All of our lumbar implants and instruments comply with current GS1 Coding and traceability legislation. All our products are available to purchase directly or on a hire basis and can be delivered on a next day or same day delivery service if required.

  • CLIA PLIF Cage CLIA Spinal Cage System
The CLIA Spinal Cage range is manufactured from PEEK with “tell tales”, supplied in 25mm lengths, with 4° and 8° of lordosis available, depending on Surgeon preference, and in height sizes 8mm to 14mm. These Cages are designed to allow maximum area for graft containment to help to ensure fusion. The graft containment cavity is ideally suited  for use with our range of bone grafting products. The spinal cage range comes in 3 variations depending on the area of the spine:
    • Cervical
    • PLIF
    • ALIF

  • MedSpine Titamesh Cage Titamesh Spinal Cage
The Titamesh Cage range comes in two variations associated with Cervical and Lumbar - Titamesh-C and Titamesh-L. The cage is designed in such a way to provide superior rigid anterior fixation for spinal fusion. The device itself is manufactured using state of the art 3D printing techniques, using only the highest grade Titanium. The printing process ensures that each cage has a consistent macro/micro porous structure, so as to allow effective boney fusion. The cage can be used standalone, as it has incorporate spiked keels on both endplates. With simple, yet effective instrumentation, the Titamesh Cage allows for faster surgery and placement. Implants come in a range of design options, either anatomical or flat. They also come in a range of endplate sizes and heights.

  • Dynamic stabilisation with the “G” Device implant for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis: The Device helps to support and stabilise the spine after decompression Surgery or it can be used solely as a spinal support to assist in maintaining the normal extension of the spine, thus helping to alleviate pressure on exiting nerve roots at the affected level. The advantages of the “G” Device over other similar devices is that it can be Implanted at L5/S1. It is shorter with a curved base to allow this particular level to be dealt with, and this design feature allows it to be implanted lower in the interspinous space, making it generally more stable & secure and allowing for more defined distraction. In addition, the device has clearly defined “teeth” to give it increased stability in situ.

  • The TOPS™ System by Premia Spine is a mechanical implant device designed to offer better motion and stability for patients suffering with spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis, offering a greater range of movement compared to Spinal Fusion technology. The unique design of the TOPS™ System allows for motion in all directions for patients including flexion, extension, lateral bending, and axial rotation. Another great feature is that the system also blocks sheer forces, which is something that can't be achieved with a typical decompression-only procedure. There are three major benefits from using the TOPS™ System as a treatment of spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis and other facet joint diseases:
    1. During the procedure, the lumbar spine is stabilised and gains a controlled range of movement.
    2. After surgery, patients will be able to enjoy normal everyday activities by regaining the ability to bend, flex and walk.
    3. Once surgery is complete, patients will experience immediate and sustained pain relief according to research.
